Frequent visitors here will know I often make the resources I can not find for use in my classroom. Most recently, we've been looking at the digraph /ck/ in class and whilst I had an idea for how best to teach my students the spelling rule that the ck sound is only used after a single vowel which makes its short or first sound finding what I wanted was more difficult.

My class of five and six year olds love to play games. While the transition from preschool to school involves many changes and adjustments for both children and their parents, the playful learning need not stop. Knowing how much my students enjoy playing BINGO, I created these Sound Bingo cards which focus on 'ck' words. The file includes 29 'ck' word cards with clean bright pictures. These could be used in word sorts with other cards for Daily 5 activities too. The file also includes 24 BINGO game cards with matching words and pictures. I've also created picture only and word only cards to match which would suit older elementary school aged children.
